I've Been Busy...

First of all, I'm so sorry for not being active for like a week, it's because I've been busy. I forgot that I have some things to do with school so, I have to do them first. I got the time tonight so, I made this post! In the meantime, I've thought about 2 new topics, which are going to come out before this month ends!

I'm gonna go vacation on 17th of May until 23rd, so expect me not to go online again for a week. I'm gonna go to province again. I get to see some real cows again, too. (yey!)

Anyways, that's it for today, see you soon guys!

A Name Change Perhaps?

I know I made the name xTrMs myself, but then I realized somebody has the same name as I do, whatever I do to make the name change its spelling it is STILL taken by someone. It's okay for me to have the same name with somebody, but the thing that pisses me off, is that they aren't even ACTIVE. Seriously? Get a life. A name change, perhaps?

Our mobile view sucks.

It's been a month since I released the official mobile optimization view for our website. I don't know if you think that our website in web view is good looking, but for me it is. The truth is, mobile optimization for blogspot sucks. I've tried so hard changing it. You cannot see the gadgets, font looks terrible, and spacing is the worst. No offense, it really sucks. I hope someone changes it, and they should allow the blogger to ACTUALLY optimize the mobile view. Really, no offense.

Is Five Nights at Freddy's 4 Worth the Wait?

Image reveal of FNAF 4
You might be living under the rock if you don't know what Five Nights at Freddy's series are. But in case you really don't know, click here.

Scott Cawthon, the game's developer, has announced that the final part of FNAF series is going to be released on October 31, 2015.

Speak up people! What do these guys think about the release?
_____________________________________________________________

xTrMs: Is FNAF 4 Worth the Wait?

"The majority of games take years or more to make and he's pumped out 4 of those in no time flat. There is no wait at all compared to the majority of games in the market." -ActUnnatural

"Lol no. Not worth the wait at all." -KingJimmyX

"It's getting boring somehow. So, nope." -Raiken

"No, this game is awful and spawns more furries" -Moonshake

"The game started itself as a true horror game with original content, but then the game started to create a complete history with unseen events and so much questions to be answered that it made the need to know the story. After the second one the game started to go down quite drastically in terms of the scares and atmosphere because it started to answer the story, with hidden puzzles and minigames. So to conclude the FNAF 4 is not gonna be like the first one mostly because now it will end the story, complete the missing parts. If it's going to be scary or not you'll have to wait for it, but for me it's actually pretty cool to see the end of story and the end of the theories and speculations in the game." -kradoxtb

"No. And here's why. Five Nights at Freddy's WAS never a good game. The concept was basic, and was rather executed poorly. And also, people give it some much acclaim for its story. But the base of the story was mediocre at its best. And then, FNAF started to thrive off of fan theories in order to produce more games, to create more controversy and mystery. A sequel for this particular game was never needed, but they decided to pull a bigger cash and grab then f*cking Call of Duty. Also, a teaser for the date of a teaser?" -Valterain1

"I'm getting sick of it and people are overreacting about it." -NeVuKeN

"Yes" -UMaster

"FNAF was a good game before FNAF 3 for me, I think. FNAF was scary as f*ck when I first tried it. Then FNAF 2 was scarier and was not that easy for me. But then FNAF 3 became boring. The jumpscares are predictable and the game can be beaten easily. After FNAF 2 the game decided to have more complex story than focusing on "scaring us". So to sum it up my answer is no." -Cyberfishy

And finally, my own opinion.

"This game had a simple objective. It's point and click, as simple as that. And since Scott wanted it to have a story, it had one. Multiple theories and controversies had popped out of everywhere. As the series progressed, it gradually forgets the concept of the game. A Survival, Horror, Point-and-click game. The backstory is ruining it. It's not fun anymore. Since it's the last of the series, I'd like to know the end of the story." -xTrMs

Average.

Average -- A word used to describe "normal" "among others" "one of them" "alike" and so much more.

When it comes computers, an average person has a decent amount of RAM and HDD space without any troubles with space, an average person has a Graphics card enough to play videos without any lag, an average person has a sound card enough to play music without any problems. Are YOU one of THEM?

Yesterday, 26th of April, 2015, the first and official Reveal Trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has been released. Not to be offensive, A LOT of people hated it. 48% of the people disliked the official reveal, that's almost the half of 100%. I saw some people on the comments section wants to play as HUMANS. The only thing that got them interested was the zombie mode. Some of them said that the CoD Franchise should stop pushing itself to the future. As for me, I want to try it out.

But we don't just stop there. The official Minimum System Requirements have been released together with the reveal trailer. Here it is:

  • Operating System: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD Phenom™ II X4 810 @ 2.60 GHz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 470 @ 1GB / ATI® Radeon™ HD 6970 @ 1GB
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
Now here it is. Let us suppose that you're just a guy working in an office saving up for a new house, and you have to deal with an issued laptop given to you by your company. You can do everything with it, install, uninstall, whatever, your choice. Now this game is released on November 6th, 2015, and you want to buy it, just to try it out, despite CoD Franchise's popularity. But as soon as you headed to the store, you saw the jaw dropping system requirements. It does NOT fit your average.

By means of average, how can you tell that something is an average PC?

According to my research, 2014 Steam Survey, the Steam User Average specs are unexpectedly -- lower than that of CoD: BO3 for about 20%, and that's just the minimum. However, I can see that most people commenting on the reveal trailer can run the game with no problems. I'm sure they're fans and gamers. Lol.

Now tell me, Are you one of the average?

Have an idea? Let me know!

To this day, I am accepting suggestions from you guys! Here's the FAQ in case you have some questions. I have updated the posts from last year to fit with my new system

FAQ

1. How can I suggest a topic?
You can suggest a topic by messaging me in my Facebook Page or use the contact form ->

2. What topics can I suggest?
There are a lot of topics you can suggest like these things:
-Conspiracy Theories (games)
-Game releases
-Game culture
-Game companies

And a lot more! YOU are my limitations! Just keep in mind that it has to be relative to games/gaming.

3. When will my topic show up?
I am not sure, it depends on the uniqueness of your topic. And If I received a lot of suggested topics then your topic might have a 1/10 chance of getting picked. But if you're the only one suggesting, sure I'll accept it.

4. Up to how many topics can I send in a day?
You can send as how many as you like. However, I'm only choosing 1 topic from you per week. If you're lucky, I might choose more than 1 from your suggestions if I liked some of them. If nobody sent a topic other than you, then you are REALLY lucky.

5. Why aren't you making of these? It has been a week or 2!
Sorry for that, Despite of all my interest in making an article, I also have school and errands to do, or sometimes I'm on vacation. I am really sorry if that happens.

Well those are some FAQ I've known :) I hope messages with good topics arrive in my FB Page!

Will Paid Mods Help Improve the Modding Community?

Fire!

These past few days Valve has announced that Steam Workshop Modders (including me) can be credited and supported by buying  mods. Yes, paying for a mod. They started this system with the game Skyrim, to test it out. Modders are given 2 choices, either release the mod for free or release it with a price.

What about me? What does a Steam Workshop modder think about this "feature"? Should it be removed or allow the system do its job?

First, let me explain how the system works.

1. Workshop modder creates mods
2. Publish the mod for free or publish it as a paid item
3. Add contributors
4. Specify the game, DLC or mod required

It's easy!

To simplify my analysis, here's the Pros and Cons (for players AND creators)

Pros:
-You can set your own price (creator)
-You can refund IF 1)the mod does not meet your expectations, or 2)the mod doesn't work within 24 hours
-You can edit your own price (creator)
-Payments are sent immediately to your bank account
-Makes modders rich
-Encourages and brings new modders into the modding community, which gives them the potential to make a good mod
-Gives modders some support to make their mod better

Cons:
-Your game might be prone to be broken
-Your work can be easily stolen by another modder
-People can make cheap and low quality mods for some cheap money (no!)
-24 hours is not adequate enough to test a mod
-A mod requiring a mod requiring a mod requiring a mod? That's a big circular paywall
-If a modder has made a mod with similar content and sold it to a lower price, that modder will make more money
-Potential for modders to put in-game ads to make more money
-The original Skyrim DevTeam has been disbanded by Bethesda years ago, so the old DevTeam won't be getting their 45% (or so) cut.
-75% cut for Valve?! Really?
-Valve won't let the modder delete its own creation instead modders can "delist" them
-Copyright, Copyright Everywhere!

Plus, a lot of modders are posting their works not only in Steam, but to other non-Valve related websites, which doesn't you the option to publish your mod with a price. A donate button would be much appreciated rather than buying a mod with a fixed price.

Although this "Paid" mods might make modding better, it has a large potential to kill modding. Modding isn't about money, it's about passion. It's the thing that made PC the "glorious gaming master race".

What I think is, Valve did a great job to support modders but, there are a lot of modders out there, and some of them are good too, and I'm willing to pay for a mod if it really deserves to be paid. But there are hundreds and thousands of modders out there, and paying their mods with some serious money, sure it will make them happy. I don't mind the 75% cut. What I mind is, what if I played the game with the mod for 2 days and a game breaking glitch occurs? What do I do, cry? I can't refund it, due to the refund policies (read here). If you really want to support the modder for the great job he has done, donate. As I said, a donate button would be much appreciated than buying a mod with a fixed price.

As for me, modders do what they want, and they are doing a really great job. That's what made the PC the "glorious gaming master race" (yes I know I already said it). If you really, really want to support modders for their work, why not review his work, say thanks, and spread their work, and it's free!

As for me, a big NO for this idea.

2015 Update

Recently, my PC broke, due to a bug. By means of bug, literally. I found ants scattered over my hard drive.

Since then for the past 2 months I have been using my laptop, and haven't made any new videos yet. And since the PC have been fixed, I may have to continue my Channel Highlight of the Year.

In other news, I have been studying about scripting languages, and I'm planning to make a program in which it lets me start up different programs at once then logging in automatically. Unfortunately, this is only for me to use. However, I will assign different passwords to different accounts with different messages in them. So, if you download it, why don't you guess the password and reveal my message?

Channel Highlight of 2015

I thought about on how to bring much audience watching in our channel. So I'd thought of something special, something special; that would bring audience upon us. A thought came through me, why not make a highlight annually? That idea perfectly fits my channel. First step is complete. Finding an idea. Then I thought, what kind of videos should I do? Tutorials? Hacks? Walkthroughs? Montages? Then the "zombies" thought passed through me. That's it! I'll do a Left 4 Dead 2 Series!

After reading that novel above, and now that you have an idea what thing I'll do for the whole year, let me present to you, Left 4 Dead 2: The Movie Gameplay Series! The idea is, Nevuken and I will be playing all of the 16 campaigns in L4D2 including the DLC campaign; and posting a new episode every week.

Since there are ~4 stages in each campaign, that would be 16= ~64; and since I am posting each episode weekly, so there are ~64 weeks. There are 4 weeks in 1 month, so that would mean ~16 months, and ~16 months means ~1.333... years. That's a whole lotta weeks!

Simply:

16 (campaigns) * 4 (stages) = 64 (stages)

64 (stages) / 4(weeks) = 16 (months)

16 (months) / 12 (months) = 1.333... (years)

Therefore:

1.3 (years) = 64 (episodes)

That doesn't mean I'll just spam my channel with L4D2 Gameplays, I may post some videos with different topic. G'Bye!

Portal History Theory (Summarized version)

Now you realize, eh?

After hours of researching last year, I finally compiled my ideas and made my own Portal History Theory. I summarized by theory so it won't be boring.

I won't publish the full version of this one. Here it is, I hope you enjoy.

Portal, a game of puzzle platformer in half life universe developed by valve corporation. The story cycles on to Chell,
the main character, and GlaDos, the psychotic AI that controls the facility.

The game is so great, that you; almost never saw the secrets behind it.

The "secret" we are going to talk about today is about Portal's hidden plots. I've heard rumors about the parents of chell,
which are Cave Johnson (the founder of Aperture Laboratories) and Caroline (Cave Johnson's "assistant"). I approve this theory
because, in the "Bring your daughter to work" day, There is a giant potato plant. Beside it, if you zoomed in, you can see
the words "by Chell". Looking at the handwriting, she is nearly at 6 or 7 years old, how could she do that? There is only one man who won't bother cheating, testing and sacrificing test subjects just to complete a specific objective: Cave Johnson.

He doesn't care about the test subjects, he will test every thing his company made.

Despite loosing her memory in Portal 1, her memory came back way far than she was supposed to in Portal 2, which means she
remembered way farther than in Portal 1. She is aware.

We always knew that GlaDos is Caroline. To actually prove that Caroline is Chell's mother, look at Cara Mia Addido's translated
song lyrics.

The lyrics in the song said "My child, oh heavens" and "My dear child" and "Yes, far away from science". Caroline really is
singing to Chell, telling her to leave aperture laboratories, simply she doesn't want Chell to be hurt since GlaDos remembered
that she is Caroline, and being aware that she is her mother. In portal one's "I want you gone" there was a statement "Caroline
was a lot like you", in which we can infer that Chell looks like or acts like Caroline. Well, people look like
somebody if they have the same genes, which also means Caroline IS Chell's mother.

In the quote "Sorry, fellas. She's married. To Science" by Cave Johnson, I can try to explain that that quote can prove that
Caroline and Cave are strongly related to each other than being co-workers. Cave Johnson in this times IS the science. He owns the
biggest and most advanced science laboratory in this world. And, who wants their girl to be liked by another guy?

If you looked at this Gla Dos comparison to a women hanging on her feet, it seems that both are similar. But that's a fan art.
This is the real Gla Dos. See the difference of the first comparison to the second one? The woman in the
picture is tied, bungled and curved. That's the point. She is forced by Cave Johnson, to enter Gla Dos instead of himself.
There is an unused audio game file in which if you listen carefully you can hear "Get me out of here". It's like caroline resisting the memory upload to gla dos. She tried to resist. But she can't. He wanted her to run the place. This can be the reason for her to release neurotoxin inside Aperture Laboratories, that killed hundreds of scientists.

However Chell survived, GlaDos adopted her, not knowing that she is her daughter, and raised her to be a test subject.

Ratman however, has no connection in their relationship rather than giving some advice to Chell. I infer that he was killed during
Portal 2, since he didn't show up.

But what happened to Chell during the flooding of neurotoxin? Why is she and Doug are the only survivors? I have not gathered much
information about that. But about the quote that GlaDos said, "Clones don't have souls, Just So you know, Like twins." This quote, she meant Chell at Ratman. Note that doug thinks chell is special, but why? Ratman is Residual, which is a symptom of schizophrenia, a mental disorder. Mural painting is
an art therapy for schizophrenia, which Doug always do in Ratman dens. Fraternal twins have 17% chance of being schizophrenic.

They might be immuned to neurotoxin because of their schizophrenia.

The conclusion to my theory is, Chell, is a daughter of the famous Cave Johnson and his CEO, Caroline is chell's mother. When Cave Johnson got poisoned
by moon rocks, he forced Caroline to enter GlaDos, which is against her will, and gave her a reason to flood the laboratory with neurotoxin gas, which killed
all the scientists, except Doug Rattman and Chell, because of schizophrenia. Doug thinks chell is special because he knows her, because they're twins. After
Chell killed GlaDos, her memory was erased. After GlaDos was revived in portal 2, she became a potato, travelled with Chell, and step-by-step remembering
her past way more than she supposed to. AT the ending, she was aware that she has a daughter named Chell, and she kicked her out of the Aperture, wanting Chell
to be safe rather than testing dangerous tests.

If you like or object my theory, feel free to type your comment below!

Trashtalking

You talking to him?

Trash-talk is a form of boast or insult commonly heard in competitive situations (such as sports events and multiplayer video games). It is often used to intimidate the opposition, but can also be used in a humorous spirit. Trash-talk is often characterized by use of hyperbole, or figurative language, e.g., "Your team can't run! You run like honey on ice!" Puns and other wordplay are commonly used.
-Wikipedia
As seen above, Trashtalking is a form of insult, originally in sports, but now commonly used in multiplayer games. Almost every genre has its own kind of insult. Either "noob" or "weak" or any other words/phrase I can't say.
I know that most people are on to gaming now, especially on to some MOBA/RPG games in which most of the people in the world play. I know that most people wants to show-off their skills hoping to be invited to join any pro team and compete until you reach the top of the records. I know that some of you hate noobs and I know that you can't fight the urge to insult them in any way you can think of.
This so called "trashtalking" is a purely negative form of insulting. Insults such as "go play minecraft" or "you play like a girl" or "you run like a man on the moon", can be hurtful to some people - people who are starting/trying the life in the gaming world. People who say words like this is an example of a bad model. You may not know but you just discouraged a kid to play his games; to fulfill his satisfaction. You can be a bad model.
If you really think you're good enough, and you want some challenge, to really prove that you're the best, why not shut your mouth, and wait for that kid you trashtalk everyday, to grow up and become the same level as yours.
Consider yourself when you're still new to the gaming world. Like this 2015 gaming world. Would you be happy to be trashtalked every time you play a game? Would you fight back even if you know you can't?
As a MOBA player, I have suffered from being trashtalked by people every time I play a match. After years of playing & waiting, I have successfully found that man who trashtalked me. I just shut my mouth, but he noticed me too, and he's up for a challenge. I thought of it as a good opportunity. I managed to beat him. I did this again and again to different people, and here am I, I'm in the top 100 rankings, without even insulting a player.
Games are made for entertainment. Not for insulting. Getting trashtalked is inevitable. But you can change yourself. Practice. Practice until you can't. Can't wait enough? Tired of getting trashtalked? Don't play the game then.
This is 2015. This is the modern world. Nothing is changed until you do.

You have an idea? Let me know what you think. Message me at my Facebook Page.
